Carlos Miranda

Carlos Miranda. Born in Tenerife (Spain) in 1975. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Spain and a Commercial Animation Diploma in Vancouver (Canada). He has worked as an illustrator and caricature artist in the local press since 1997, publications for children and many other promotional drawings, like the visitor map of Loro Parque Theme Park, an album cover and poster artwork for the clown show Los Gabytos 2010 (the Aragón family) and the illustrated poster for FIMUCITE 4 edition.
His first piece of animation was “A MANO”, a short film written, directed and animated along with Jose Perez Mawyín, a scholarship project produced in VanArts Institute of Media Arts, Canada (2004-2005) and awarded, among other festivals, the "2D OR NOT 2D "Animation Festival (USA) - Best Animation in a 2D film.
Ha colaborado en proyectos televisivos como "CHICHA Y PÍO", creando y animando los personajes para la campaña del Carnaval de la TV Pública de Canarias (2008), y como director artístico del programa de marionetas "Los Machangos de la Tele", para Antena 3 TV-Tenerife (2002).He has worked on television projects as "CHICHA and PIO”, creating and animating the characters for the Carnival campaign of the Canary Islands Public TV (2008), and he was the art director in the puppet tv show "Los Machangos de la Tele” for Antena 3 TV (2002).
In 2005 he joined the Spanish animation studio La Casa Animada working as the animation director of different projects on development. He also has Ha diseñado el primer Curso de Animación Tradicional y Dibujos Animados de Canarias, en colaboración con La Mirada Producciones y el Excmo.He Hdesigned and directed the first classical animation training program in Canary Islands since 2007, in collaboration with La Mirada Productions and the Tenerife Island Council, and participating as faculty member in various subjects.
