14/07/2009

The season of Jerry Goldsmith’s films programmed by FIMUCITÉ 3 as part of its extensive program of parallel activities continues tonight in Multicines Monopol in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with Franklin J. Schaffner’s Papillon.

Papillon’s story (Steve Mcqueen), about a man sentenced to the terrible French Guiana prisons for murder, will be screened at 20.30. This will be another opportunity to enjoy the Goldsmith’s scores, one of the most prolific music talents in Film History, composed for one of the best Hollywood directors. Papillon will also be screened on Thursday 16, at the same time, in Multicines Renoir Price in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The season, promoted by FIMUCITE and Filmoteca Canaria, will finish next week with another classic, Roman Polanski’s Chinatown. It will be screened in Multicines Monopol on Tuesday 21 and in Renoir on Thursday 23.
