WILL TALK TO THE TENERIFE AUDIENCE ABOUT THEIR HOLLYWOOD EXPERIENCE

Mark Snow, Clint Mansell, John Ottman and Jan Kaczmarek will give conferences about their work and the relationship with key directors such as Bryan Singer and Darren Aronofsky in TEA

Apart from sharing a wide selection of some of their best works with the Tenerife audience, FIMUCITÉ 3 impressive guest composers will also talk about their extensive experience in Hollywood, as part of the conferences programmed next July 23 in TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes), thanks to the sponsorship of Cabildo Insular de Tenerife.

Darren Aronofsky’s emblematic composer, Clint Mansell,  who will also give his first concert in Spain during the Festival, will start the round of conferences at 17.00, analyzing his work for the director of “Pi” and “Requiem for a Dream”. Mansell will also talk about his work for some commercial films, such as “Sahara” or “Definitively, maybe”.

After that, Jan Kaczmarek, winner of an Oscar for “Finding Neverland”, will give a talk about the differences of his works in both sides of the Atlantic and the most important aspects of the score that made him worth of Hollywood’s highest recognition.

John Ottman will concentrate at 18.30 on the works he has developed for filmmaker Bryan Singer, with whom he has collaborated in films such as “Superman Returns” or “Valkyrie”. Ottman will also speak about his experiences behind the camera.

Mark Snow will conclude these meetings with the Tenerife audience at 19.30, expounding on his specific experience with music for television. The author of the well-known “The X Files” theme will tell of his personal experiences in the process of composition of this score, and about the differences between working for television and cinema.

The climax of these conferences will be on Friday 24, with the participation of Varese Sarabande soundtrack producer, Robert Townson, who will analyze with Manuel Díaz Noda, Jerry Goldsmith’s  works, to whom FIMUCITÉ pays tribute this year. This appointment will also be graced with the presence of Carol Goldsmith, widow of the composer. The conference will start at 17.00 and will be followed by a round table with the composers and agents Mark Snow, Jan Kaczmarek y John Ottman, Joel McNeely, Robert Messinger and Ray Costa.

This conferences program is part of the parallel activities that FIMUCITÉ 3 has prepared this year thanks to the sponsorship of Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, Canary Islands Government and Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna City Councils, as well as the cooperation of a great number of public and private entities.
