DIEGO NAVARRO CONFIRMS FIMUCITÉ AS
"AN INTERNATIONAL REFERENCE INSIDE THE WORLD OF FILM MUSIC"

15/06/2009

Tenerife film music composer, Diego Navarro, director of Tenerife Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ), confirmed during the presentation of the third edition of this essential appointment with film music that this festival, guaranteed by the success of the two previous editions, “has established itself nowadays as a true international reference in the world of film music”.

That is so, he remarked at the press conference, that he has just returned from its equivalent Film Music Festival in Krakow, creating with them the first European film music festival circuit.

The director of the Tenerife Film Orchestra & Choir emphasized the “exponential growth” of the Festival in just three years after it started its path, and reminded that this year FIMUCITÉ 3 will pay tribute to the Alien saga, on Ridley Scott’s Alien 30th anniversary. Among the events that the Festival will offer this year, he emphasized “the opening of the music of X-Files, that has never been listened live before, and that will be conducted by its composer, Mark Snow, during the concert programmed at Tenerife’s Auditorium”.

It will be an opportunity for “the island to be invaded by film music”, concluded Navarro, thanking all the institutions, headed by Cabildo de Tenerife (the island’s Government), their participation in order to make this third edition of FIMUCITÉ possible.
